- 4 quarts Applesauce
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1 tbs Cinnamon
- 1 tbs Cardamom
- Add applesauce, sugar, cinnamon and cardamom to your slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 10 – 16 hours, depending on your slow cooker temperature. (Make sure the lid is not tight so moisture can escape and the apple butter can reduce.)
- Check on it every few hours stirring occasionally. When it has reduced by about half, you are done.
For canning – Spoon into warm jars and can in water bath. (I follow the instructions on the bottom of the Ball Jar box, so I am linking to them here. Someday I will do a canning post because I am digging it.)
